The Greyhound Inn

 

We’re Louise and Stewart McKenzie, the new owners of The Greyhound Inn, we've moved down from Bonnie Scotland to take on this wonderful country Inn. Louise has over 6 years of experience as firstly head chef of her family’s Hotel, where she gained two AA Rosettes for her food, and secondly managing their bustling country Inn in Perthshire. Stewart has ran the front of house for our Outside Catering business based in and around Glasgow, and we feel our combined experience, enthusiasm and love of food and drink make us perfect for The Greyhound!

Louise has been busy creating a delicious menu using amazing Suffolk produce, including ever changing specials depending on what our new game keeping friend Will has shot for us, or our fish suppliers Pinney's of Orford have landed that day. Our meat comes from Revett's of Wickham Market, with the exception of our Really Wild Scottish Venison, which we import from Louise's parents on Kingairloch Estate. Stewart is serving a range of local ales, including the very popular Adnams Ghost Ship from Southwold (ABV 4.5%) and Victoria Bitter from Earl Soham (ABV 3.6%).

We will be continuing with the Folk Night the second Monday of each month and are also planning numerous other foodie events involving foods from around the world that we have encountered on our travels together.

We are open for lunch 12-3pm Tuesday to Sunday and Dinner Tuesday to Saturday 6-9pm, with the bar open until 11pm.

We look forward to welcoming past and future customers to The Greyhound and spending many happy years in Pettistree together.
