The Suffolk Coastal Petanque League Invites all players/persons to the 2008 End of Season Play-Offs on Sunday September 14th 2008 The Greyhound Inn, The Street, Pettistree (Sat Nav Postcode IP13 0HP) 01728 746451.
The day starts at 12pm with the 3rd/4th Place Play-Off Match between the Runner-Up of Deben Division versus the Runner-Up of Blyth Division (players involved in this match are required to be at the venue by 11.40pm).
The Grand Final is scheduled to commence at approximately 2pm, featuring the Winner of Deben Division versus the Winner of Blyth Division (players for this match are required at the venue by 1.40pm LATEST - NO EXCUSES).
At approximately 4.30pm, we will be holding our End of Season Trophy Presentations, where we would like every teams attendance, if possible.
Following on from the completion of our activities, there is an open invitation for all players to stay on and play with some of the locals, who are attempting to put together their own teams for next seasons league.
The surface itself will be a pre-prepared area of the existing car park, suitably cordoned off. The beer garden lies alongside the proposed piste area with seating/picnic tables. There are outside toilets that are at one end of the playing area and the landlord has arranged for the pub facilities to be open all day.
On the day, there will be absolutely no parking at the pub for petanque players, no arguments. However the landlord has an area 200 yards down the lane that will be specifically signposted as 'Petanque Parking Only'. You must abide by this request please as its a stipulation of the venue.
